RAPIDE FRAME & DOOR SEALANT is a high performance, water-based acrylic sealant that’s easy to apply and long lasting provided the manufacturer’s instructions are followed.
Uses
For sealing and filling joints around wood, aluminium and uPVC doors and window frames. Suitable for indoor and outdoor application provided it’s applied in dry conditions and is allowed to remain dry for 7 days to cure properly.
Directions
Ensure surface(s) are clean, free from dust and grease. Cut cartridge seal and screw on nozzle which should be cut to your required size. Using a caulking gun, apply sealant into gap or joint ensuring a good solid fill. Always smooth using a slightly wet spatula. This should be undertaken within approximately 5 minutes of application as sealant begins to skip after approximately 10 minutes.
Sealant should be touch dry in approximately 45 minutes can be overpainted once fully cured, this can take up to 7 days subject to atmospheric conditions where applied.
Usage
Approximately 10-11 metres using a 5mm bead.
